Privacy Policy
Service: LSoL Gofer, a privately operated installation of the open-source Gofer email application.
This policy describes Google account data handled by the LSoL Gofer service. The application is intended for a small number of authorized users and is not offered as a public email service.
Google data accessed
When a user authorizes Google access, the application's OAuth request may seek permission to access Gmail, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar data, as well as basic account identity information. Depending on the services a user enables, Gofer may retrieve email messages, folders, message metadata, contacts, and calendar events and may send messages or make permitted updates on the user's behalf. Granting a permission and enabling a particular synchronization feature are separate actions.
Purpose of access
Google data is used solely to provide the email, contact lookup, synchronization, and calendar features selected by authorized users. Data is not used for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
Storage and security
Connected account details, synchronization data, and authorization tokens may be stored on the private Gofer server and in administrator-controlled backups. Access to the application is restricted to authorized users, and connections to the application use HTTPS. The service administrator may access stored data as needed for maintenance, support, or recovery.
Sharing
Google account data is not sold or shared for advertising. Data is exchanged with Google and connected mail providers as needed to perform the user's requested services. Data may be accessible to the service administrator and to infrastructure providers only to the extent necessary to operate the service. This public information website does not host users' email or Google data.
Retention and removal
Data may remain stored while an account is connected and may persist in server backups for a period following disconnection. Users can disconnect Google accounts from Gofer and revoke Google's authorization in their Google Account security settings. Contact the service administrator to request removal of locally stored data, subject to backup retention and technical limitations.
Questions
For privacy questions or data-removal requests, contact the LSoL Gofer administrator using the support email displayed in the application's Google OAuth consent screen.
